神楽 Kagura

先日、広島県北部の安芸高田市というところへ旅行に行きました。ここは伝統芸能の神楽が盛んに行われています。
神楽とは、自分たちが住んでいる土地の守り神や、日本神話の神様にささげる歌や踊りのことです。神様に豊作を願ったり、収穫に感謝して舞います。
「舞い方」は、美しい刺しゅうのついた衣装を着て踊ります。おそろしい形相の鬼や、巨大な蛇が出る演目もあります。「はやし方」は、楽器を演奏します。はやし方は、大太鼓、小太鼓、手打鉦と、横笛で演奏します。
興味があれば、youtubeで「神楽」と検索してみてください。私は横笛の笛の音にすっかり魅了され、横笛と吹き方を教えてくれるDVDを購入しました。家族や友人は私がすぐ飽きるだろうと笑いますが、私はいつか上手に吹けると信じて練習しています。思っていたより難しいですが・...
