先日、東京ドイツ村というところに行きました。 とても広い敷地で、イルミネーションが有名な場所です。 ではこの東京ドイツ村、どこにあるか知っていますか。 東京でもドイツでもありません。千葉県にあります。 千葉なのに東京の名前がついています。

他にも、東京ディズニーランド、ららぽーとTOKYO-BAY、どちらも千葉県にあります。 成田国際空港も数年前は新東京国際空港でした。こちらも千葉県です。

東京ディズニーランドは、当初色々な名前が検討されていましたが、 東京の近く、世界的に有名な都市の名前ということで東京ディズニーランドになったそうです。 東京ドイツ村は*東京湾アクアラインが開通し、東京から近くなったので東京とつけたと、パンフレットに書いてあります。 疑問に思う人も多いからですね。

もし、もしです。「千葉ディズニーランド」に名前が変わっても遊びに来てくれますか？ 「千葉ドイツ村」はどうですか？ 東京観光の際は、ぜひ千葉のなかにある東京も楽しんでください。

Tokyo even though it is in Chiba

The other day I went to a place called the Country Farm Tokyo German Village. It is a very wide site and is famous for it's illumination. But do you know where the Country Farm Tokyo German Village is ? It is not in Tokyo nor is it in Germany. It is in Chiba prefecture. It was given the name of Tokyo even though it is in Chiba.

There are others like this; Tokyo Disneyland and LaLaport TOKYO-BAY, both of these are in Chiba Prefecture. Hanada International Airport was known as New Tokyo International Airport until a few years ago. This too is in Chiba.

In the case of Tokyo Disneyland, at first they considered several names but, since it was close to Tokyo and since it was a worldwide famous city name, the name became Tokyo Disneyland. In the pamphlet it says that with the opening of the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line, Country Farm Tokyo German Village became closer to reach from Tokyo so that's why it was given the Tokyo name.

There are many people who question this. What if : What if they changed the name to Chiba Disneyland, would you still go and play there ? How about Country Farm Chiba German Village?
