Introducing

teacher page

I started teaching Japanese to technical intern trainees and internship students, and since 2019, online Japanese instructor at JOI.

My main focus is on Business Japanese and JLPT grammar (N1,N2.N3) in particular. I am also available for short-term private lessons to improve your business Japanese skills before joining a company, taking an assignment, or changing jobs on your requested schedule.

I worked for a major machine manufacturer for about 40 years. During that time, I was assigned to various departments such as factories, trading, R&D, sales, general affairs, accounting, and auditing. With these experiences, I believe I can provide you with practical assistance in various situations when you are doing business in Japanese.

What kinds of activities do you include in your online Japanese classes?

squareAdvanced

This lesson allows you to listen to new information, speak your own opinion in Japanese, and exchange opinions with others.

Themes are:
1. Learning about Japan through traditional events that are still held and commonly used proverbs. (CEFR B1)
2. Understanding Japanese laws related to business and society, and considering social backgrounds and problem-solving methods. (CEFR B2)
3. Considering the background of global statistical rankings related to society and life. (CEFR C1)

Many of the topics may be unfamiliar to you, but we will provide information in an easy-to-understand manner, so please give it a try.

squareAdvanced Grammar (incl. JLPT N1)

The advanced sentence patterns emphasize the importance of understanding the subtle differences in the speaker's emotions and surrounding circumstances when you are using that sentence pattern. At the same time, other related words that are easier to understand and remember are also introduced from time to time. Each lesson includes practice questions that match the format of grammar questions on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

squareIntermediate Grammar(N2)

Since there are a large number of sentence patterns at the intermediate level, it is more important for you to first understand in what situations they are used, rather than to give you a detailed grammatical understanding. At the same time, other related words that are easier to understand and remember are also introduced from time to time. Each lesson includes practice questions that match the format of grammar questions on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

squareLow Intermediate Grammar (N3)

In the Low Intermediate classes, we do not explain grammar very much. The emphasis is on practicing as many example sentences as possible to familiarize students with the usage of sentence patterns in various situations and expressions. Each lesson includes practice questions that match the format of grammar questions on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
